COVID-19 2021-22 Campus Operation Plan

UT Arlington’s plan for a full return to campus for the fall 2021 semester remains on track thanks to a continually improving outlook for COVID‑19 and the dedicated efforts of all Mavericks. As we move toward pre-pandemic modes of work and learning, we will maintain our commitment to the health and safety of our community by following protocols and best practices detailed in the COVID‑19 Academic Year 2021‑22 Campus Operation Plan.

UTA Staff Conference 2021

Staff Conference

The annual Staff Conference is Tuesday-Thursday, July 13‑15, in Teams. This year's focus is diversity, equity, and inclusion. The Staff Advisory Council sponsors the event.

Virtual sessions are available each day at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Lunch-and-learn events are 1-2 p.m. each day.

UT System Lunch & Learn

Tune in to the UT System Lunch & Learn session "Inclusive Teaching: Strategies for Engaging Faculty and Promoting Learning Equity" at noon Thursday, July 8, featuring UTA's Ann Cavallo and Andrew Clark.

State Fair scholarships

Eleven high school students from the Fair Park area in Dallas will attend UT Arlington thanks in part to the State Fair of Texas’ Big Tex Scholarship Program.

Engineering fellowship

Joe Cloud, computer science and engineering doctoral student, has earned a graduate fellowship from Tau Beta Pi, the engineering honor society, for the 2021-22 academic year.

The Ins and Outs of Work-Study

Learn everything you need to know on the Federal Work-Study program and how it can benefit your department at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 13. A Q&A sessions is planned.

Creative Escapes

Next on the Creative Escapes Series is "Music, Trauma, and Quality of Life" at 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, presented by Jamar Jones of the Department of Music and Michael Bennett of the School of Social Work.

Commencement volunteers

Volunteers are needed for summer commencement, Aug. 18-19 at College Park Center. Submit the Commencement Volunteer Form by Friday, July 30.

Food Pantry needs

The UTA/Tri-C Food Pantry needs cooking oil, paper towels, protein bars, shelf-stable milk (one quart size), and milk alternatives (oat, soy, almond, rice, etc.). Drop off donations 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday at 405 W 1st St. For more details, email tri.c.cyndi@gmail.com.
