UTA pledges additional $25 million in student scholarships

The University of Texas at Arlington is expanding its ongoing commitment to students and families by ensuring an additional investment of $25 million in scholarships over the next five years, beginning with the Fall 2021 term.

This commitment expressly addresses student diversity and financial concerns for first-generation college students, low-income families, high-achieving students, and those facing challenges in the wake of COVID-19.

Daily health screening required before coming to campus

Before reporting to campus each day, all faculty, staff, and students must perform a daily health screening, which includes a daily temperature check and self-monitoring for COVID-19 symptoms.

Check the Mavs Back 2020 site for more stories on what to expect as UTA safely returns to campus for Fall 2020. You also can check the Coronavirus and Fall 2020 Semester page, which is UTA’s official site for up-to-date information on campus operations during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Message concerning international students

"We are committed to supporting our international students and will continue to do everything we can to provide a supportive and fair learning environment," Interim President Teik Lim said in a recent message to campus.
