Social distance to prevent COVID-19 spread
|
UT Arlington is adopting a phased approach to safely resuming campus activity, while encouraging social distancing to provide the healthiest possible environment for staff, faculty, and students.
That approach include signs concerning face masks, social distancing, and other healthy practices, as well as limited room capacity, seat and desk arrangements, Plexiglass shields, and more.
Check our Mavs Back 2020 page for updates on what to expect as we return to campus for fall 2020.

Jazz artist makes history
|
When she was shut down creatively during a pandemic and widespread protests, a North Texas jazz artist Tatiana “Ladymay” Mayfield of Fort Worth made history instead. This spring, the jazz composer, vocalist, and pianist with three albums and a solid fan base in Europe became the first Black American to earn a master’s degree in jazz composition from UT Arlington.

Huckaby, volunteers paint message
|
Over the weekend, a group of volunteers led by Sedrick E. Huckaby, associate professor of art and art history, painted an anti-racism message onto a downtown Fort Worth street. The words “END RACISM NOW” were painted in black and white over all lanes of traffic in the 800 block of Main Street, immediately north of the Fort Worth Convention Center.
