The city of Arlington has confirmed four positive West Nile Virus mosquito samples. As a result, the city will conduct wo consecutive nights of targeted ground spraying, weather permitting.
Spraying will be 9 p.m.-5 a.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 15, and Thursday, Aug. 16, in the following locations:
- Greek Row Drive and Kerby Street on the UTA campus.
- Forest Edge Drive at Park Row Drive
- Sherry Street at East Pioneer Parkway
- Stagetrail Drive at Highway 287
Targeted ground spraying will occur following the city of Arlington Health Authority, Tarrant County Public Health, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations, spraying only in areas with a confirmed presence of the virus.
No specific risks to animals or the environment are expected, and no special precautions are required.
