UTA will honor five graduates and two supporters at the Distinguished Alumni Awards banquet, a highlight of UTA’s homecoming week. The 2017 Distinguished Alumni Awards will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, in the E.H. Hereford University Center Bluebonnet Ballroom. This year’s honorees are, from left, Mike Rhyner, '81; Nafees Alam, '02; Teresa White, '88; Frank and Jane Alexander; Raj K. Nooyi, '78; and Roger A. Krone, '81. Alam will receive the Distinguished Recent Graduate Award. The Alexanders will be named Distinguished Honorary Alumni. Wheelock Academy: A Native American Paranormal Documentary, 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, Rosebud Theatre. The film looks at hauntings at an infamous Anglo school for Native Americans.
