|
UTA will be open for classes and business as usual on Monday, July 3. Check out the University Club's holiday buffet menu at the end of MavWire.
The campus is closed Tuesday, July 4, for the Independence Day holiday.

Nominations accepted for SAC representatives
|
The Staff Advisory Council needs nominations for district representatives for the next two years.
Nominate yourself or other staff members through Friday, June 30. Log in at https://webapps.uta.edu/Sac/. Click "nominate" and select a name from the list for your district.
The election is Monday, July 3-Friday, July 21. SAC meetings are at 3 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month.

Volunteers needed for Spanish-speaking orientation program
|
Orientación Familiar is a new Maverick Orientation session for Spanish-speaking parents and family members. Spanish-speaking students, staff, and faculty are encouraged to volunteer to network with parents, assist with the check-in process and program logistics, answer guests' questions, and give directions around campus. Register to volunteer for a shift or all day.
Orientación Familiar will be 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, July 22. If you have any questions, contact Meighan Burke at meighan@uta.edu.
