Be prepared for detours, alternative parking this summer for construction projects
|
Expect some road closures and parking adjustments related to campus construction projects this summer. Asphalt repair and restriping of Lot 36 near the Social Work complex will occur through Friday, June 2. A small portion of the lot will remain available during construction. Alternative student parking is in Lot 34 or the College Park garages. For more summer projects, go to the Pardon Our Progress page and scroll down to Summer Updates.

Early voting at MAC for June 10 run-off elections
|
UTA is a polling place for early voting in the June 10 run-off elections. Voting will be 8 a.m.-5 p.m. through Thursday, June 1, in the Maverick Activities Center. Learn more about the election on the Tarrant County Election Office website and at votetexas.gov.

Flexible Summer Hours Program begins Monday
|
UTA again will offer the Flexible Summer Hours Program Monday, June 5-Friday, Aug. 11. Participating employees work a compressed week of four 10-hour days with one day off during the work week. Managers must give written approval before employees can begin the program. Schedules for non-exempt employees also must include a minimum 30-minute lunch break. Questions? Track and field trio heading to NCAA championships
|
Junior Emeka Nwangwu, senior Craig Lautenslager, and freshman Helen Falda earned spots in the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships at the NCAA West Preliminary Round. The trio will be in action Wednesday-Saturday, June 7-10, in Eugene, Ore. LEARN MORE.

Special Olympics Summer Games
|
Last weekend, UTA played host to the Texas Special Olympics' Summer Games. UTA Police participated in the Law Enforcement Torch Run through campus and the opening ceremonies at Maverick Stadium on Friday. Artists bring wares to international folk art market June 16-17
|
See the talents of artists from around the globe at the inaugural Santa Fe International Folk Art Market at Arlington Friday-Saturday, June 16-17, at The Green at College Park on the east side of the UTA campus.
