UTA graduates largest class in University history
|
UTA will confer 5,600 degrees in commencement ceremonies, which are ongoing through Saturday, May 13, at College Park Center. The newest graduates will join the ranks of more than 214,000 UTA alumni around the globe.
The Class of 2017 is the largest graduating class in the University’s history, a projected 8 percent increase in degree conferrals over the 5,168 graduates in spring 2016. Conferrals increased significantly in the College of Nursing and Health Innovation and the College of Engineering. LEARN MORE.

UTA, City of Arlington to host Renowned International Folk Art Festival
|
After two years of planning, the renowned International Folk Art Market | Santa Fe—rated the Best Art Festival in America by USA Today—is coming to the city of Arlington at UTA. The inaugural Santa Fe International Folk Art Market at Arlington is Friday-Saturday, June 16-17, at The Green at College Park on the east side of the UTA campus. LEARN MORE.

Alumni and Friends picnic at Maverick baseball game tonight
|
Join fellow Mavericks at the Alumni and Friends at the Ballpark for a picnic and baseball game today, Friday, May 12. The picnic starts at 5:30 p.m., and the first pitch is at 6:30 p.m., both at Clay Gould Ballpark. Tickets are $15 and include a fajita buffet and UTA giveaways. Kids 2 and under receive free admission.
No. 24 UTA and No. 29 Coastal Carolina—the defending national champions—meet for the first time in a three-game series that concludes the Mavericks' home schedule for the season.

Steam service outage begins Monday
|
The Thermal Energy Plant's annual outage of campus steam service for maintenance begins at midnight Monday, May 15. Operations should resume by 10 p.m. Wednesday, May 17. During the outage, the buildings served by the Thermal Energy Plant will be without hot water and steam, including heated water for the swimming pools.
