Support Maverick men at last home game; team possible top seed for Sun Belt Championship

When seniors Jorge Bilbao, Drew Charles, Jalen Jones, and Faith Pope take the floor against Troy University today, Monday, Feb. 27, they will be playing in, arguably, the biggest game of their college careers.

A win at the final regular season home game for the program's four seniors would guarantee UTA the top seed in the annual Sun Belt Conference Men's Basketball Championship, scheduled for March 8-12 in New Orleans. UTA would receive a first round bye and would begin tournament play on Friday, March 10.

The men grabbed an 86-75 victory over South Alabama Saturday at College Park Center.
