Institutional Review Board Mini-Conference set for Friday

Faculty, staff, and students who conduct human subject research are invited to the IRB Mini-Conference 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, in the sixth floor atrium of the Central Library. Regulatory Services hosts the event about the IRB submission process and regulations, hot topics including Research Match, and a review of protocol case studies. LEARN MORE.

Learn about importance of reporting conflicts of interest, outside activities
|
Campus researchers and faculty and staff who are active in the community are encouraged to learn more about UTA’s policies regarding conflict of interest and outside activities.
Register by Friday, Feb. 17, for Real Talk: Real Issues: Conflicts of Interest, Conflict of Commitment, and Outside Activities. The program is 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, in Room 601 of Nedderman Hall.
Shelby Boseman, University attorney, and Jennifer Chapman, executive director of compliance services, will lead a discussion on conflicts and outside activities and employment. They also will demonstrate the Outside Activity Portal and how to navigate through the online approval process.
Researchers must request approval for their outside activities in addition to completing the research conflict of interest disclosure required by Research Administration. LEARN MORE.

Volunteers needed for All-Majors Job Fair
|
The Career Development Center needs volunteers to help make the Spring All-Majors Job Fair a success. Volunteer online by Friday, Feb. 17. The fair is 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, in the Maverick Activities Center.
