Aerospace engineer named Fellow of AIAA

Frank Lu, a professor in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department in the College of Engineering, has been named a Fellow of the American Institute for Aeronautics and Astronautics. He is the first UTA faculty member to earn the honor. Dr. Lu is also a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineering and the Royal Aeronautical Society. LEARN MORE.

Through the Service Awards Program, the University honors faculty and staff members reaching milestones of 10 years or more.
Employees and departments are encouraged to review the 2017 Service Awards list for accuracy. Email any changes, additions, or deletions to hrspecialprojects@uta.edu by Friday, Feb. 10.
On Wednesday, April 5, the University will host a dinner to honor employees with 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, and 50 years of service.
On Wednesday, April 12, employees with 10, 15, and 20 years of service will be honored at a reception.

Institutional Review Board Mini-Conference scheduled
|
|
Faculty, staff, and students who conduct human subjects research are invited to the IRB Mini-Conference 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, in the sixth floor atrium of the Central Library. Regulatory Services hosts the event about the IRB submission process and regulations, hot topics including Research Match, and a review of protocol case studies. LEARN MORE.
