Immigration Forum to address rights, concerns
|
A bilingual forum on immigration is set for 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, in the Swift Center. The Center for Mexican American Studies hosts the event, which will cover rights, relief, fraud prevention, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), and Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents (DAPA).

Events affect Lot 36, College Park South garage
|
Lot 36 by the Social Work complex will close at 10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, for staging of the floats for the Arlington Holiday Lights Parade. All vehicles must relocate to adjacent lots or be towed.
Because of a large event on Saturday, Dec. 10, College Park South parking garage will close at 10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9. All vehicles on the lower level must be moved or will be towed. Expect paid parking in all east campus event lots. Vehicles with an active UTA permit can park for free in any event parking lot.

Mark calendar for annual holiday reception

Come for the good food, the great friends, and the festive sounds of UTA’s Jazz Orchestra, conducted by Professor Tim Ishii, at the Faculty and Staff Holiday Reception. President Vistasp and Lisa Karbhari host the gathering 3-5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at the Bluebonnet Ballroom of the E.H. Hereford University Center.

Free class uses foam roller for fitness tool
|
Learn how to improve flexibility, increase blood flow and circulation, and reduce injuries and pain using a foam roller at a free class. The UTA Wellness Committee and Airrosti host the event 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, in Room 102B of the Maverick Activities Center. RSVP to 800-404-6050; lunch provided.
