Men repeat as Sun Belt champions
|
For the fourth time in five years, the UTA men's cross country team has claimed a conference title. The Mavericks won the Sun Belt Conference Championships on Saturday, adding to the 2013 and 2015 SBC wins that followed a Western Athletic Conference triumph in 2012. The Mavs boasted the individual winner for the second straight year with Craig Lautenslager, who followed 2015 champion Eric Ojeda. The men's and women's teams compete Friday, Nov. 11, at the NCAA South Central Regional in Fayetteville, Ark. LEARN MORE.

Tickets still available to see Alexandra Cousteau
|
Claim your tickets now to hear environmental advocate Alexandra Cousteau at the Maverick Speakers Series event Thursday, Nov. 3. Cousteau will discuss "This Blue Planet: Preserving and Sustaining a Healthy Earth" at 7:30 p.m. in Texas Hall.
Preferred seating has front-of-the-line access to the venue. The lecture is free for students, faculty, and staff and costs $5 for community members.

Enter teams for Homecoming chili cook off, parade
|
Make sure your team is signed up for two great UTA traditions: the Homecoming Chili Cook Off and Homecoming Parade. Entries are due today, Wednesday, Nov. 2.
UTA will put out a big welcome mat Sunday-Sunday, Nov. 6-12, for Homecoming 2016.
Other registration deadlines are Sunday, Nov. 6, for the Homecoming Golf Tournament; and Thursday, Nov. 10, for the Homecoming 5K Walk/Run.

Short-term parking spots available in Trinity South
|
Faculty and staff visiting Davis Hall can park in new short-term spaces in the Trinity South parking lot. Eleven two-hour spaces and three 30-minute spaces are designated in the lot, which is accessible from West Nedderman Drive.
Thirty-five parking spaces for faculty and staff have been added to the Trinity parking lot, accessible from Greek Row Drive. Use your MavID card to enter the lot.

The Athletics Department and Coppell-based Advanced-Online have launched a new official online store at utagear.com. Mavericks fans have access to a wide variety of well-known brands and more than 3,000 officially licensed items, including apparel, hats, drinkware, office essentials, bags, golf supplies, tailgating accessories, and more. Cast your ballot at the early voting poll for the Nov. 8 election. UTA hosts a polling site 7 a.m.-7 p.m. through Friday, Nov. 4, at the Maverick Activities Center. Learn more about what's on the ballot at the Tarrant County Election Office and the Texas Secretary of State websites.

UT Flex deadlines for 2015-16 Flex accounts near
|
The grace period for 2015-16 UT Flex Health Care Reimbursement accounts ends Tuesday, Nov. 15. The grace period does not apply to the Dependent Day Care Reimbursement Account.
