Faculty recognized with promotions, tenure
|
The annual Faculty Recognition Dinner honored individuals with promotions and tenure. Twelve associate professors advanced to full professor, 17 assistant professors were promoted to associate professor with tenure, and one received tenure at her current rank. Chartwells calls for faculty, staff feedback on dining program
|
Chartwells Higher Ed, UTA’s new dining services provider, has launched a customer satisfaction survey online. Survey responses are used to measure guest satisfaction, recognize outstanding associates, and provide suggestions for improvement. All faculty and staff are eligible to participate and submit a survey for each dining location. Each participant will be emailed a coupon for a complimentary small fountain beverage at The Plaza in the E.H. Hereford University Center or a small coffee, cappuccino, or hot tea at the Market located in the University Center and the Fine Arts Building.

Last candidate forum for CAAS director Thursday
|
The final candidate for director of the Center for African American Studies will give a presentation and meet with students, faculty, and staff. Jason Shelton, UTA associate professor of sociology and anthropology, will speak at 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, in the Student Congress Chambers in Room B150 of the E.H. Hereford University Center.

Register for the Homecoming Parade
|
University departments and student organizations are encouraged to register an entry in the 2016 Homecoming Parade. Fees are $15 for walking entries or groups providing their own vehicle/float and $35 for entries renting a golf cart from the Homecoming Committee. Monday deadline to donate to State Employee Charitable Campaign
|
The State Employee Charitable Campaign is a yearly opportunity for faculty and staff to show their Maverick generosity. The campaign runs through Monday, Oct. 31. See a listing of agencies and organizations and pledge online. Make a one-time gift or pledge monthly. Donations may be made to one or more organizations. You can give online through payroll deduction.

The MAX, TRE update schedules
|
Schedules have changed for the Metro Arlington Xpress (The MAX) bus service and the Trinity Railway Express rail service. The MAX bus stops are at UTA Boulevard and South Center Street in the College Park District and at North Collins and Andrews streets in the Arlington Entertainment District. The MAX provides service to the TRE's CentrePort Station.
