Transition Updates

The LMS transition is in progress. Currently, the Canvas Spring Pilot 2019 is in progress with approximately 34 courses that were selected by all the college champions and approved by the Canvas Team. The Spring Pilot will help test our system integration and help us identify issues or glitches to fix before we roll out to the entire campus in Summer 2019.

In addition, we are preparing for the campus migration. The first group of courses that will be migrated have been identified and they are currently working on the pre-migration checklist to prepare for the White Glove Service.  Please note that in order to start migrating the courses, faculty will need to review and cleanup their courses to ensure quality and updated information is migrated from Blackboard to Canvas. The Canvas team has provided the required guidelines and training materials to assist faculty with this step. Also, Migration Group 2 is being identified and Orientation sessions will take place on February 7 and 8 to review the migration process and schedule.
