Academic Mentoring
Academic Coaching is a working partnership that focuses on the process of learning. Partnering with a professional coach, students will examine their learning styles, habits of working, and current difficulties or barriers to success. Then together this team (coach and student) works to create and put in place more effective strategies for success. The aim is to heighten awareness of what it takes to achieve academic success and anchor the student with new strategies, a supportive relationship, and personal accountability
Tutoring
Tutoring can help students master course material for particular subject matter and develop grow strong study habits by working one-on-one with a tutor for free. eTutoring provides free online tutoring, including writing assistance. We offer drop -in and appointment based tutoring, both in person and virtually.

Peer Led Team Learning
Peer-Led Team Learning (PLTL) is a cohort-style academic support program for historically difficult subjects. Sessions are designed to encourage problem-solving strategies in pairs and in groups.

IDEAS Center
The I.D.E.A.S. Center is a hub of services to UT Arlington students undergoing a transition to a four-year university. The center is funded by a Department of Education grant aimed at partnering with transfer students, veterans, sophomores, and students re-entering school after a break, to help pave a path to student success. You can find our services in the Academic Plaza located on the 2nd floor of the Central Library or online.

TRiO-Student Support Services (SSS) is a component of the federal TRiO programs, funded by the U.S. Department of Education, and provides opportunities for academic development and serves to motivate students toward successful completion of their undergraduate college experience.
