"We had five (yes, five!) children attending UTA. My husband was a UTA grad and was thrilled when the kids chose to attend his Alma mater. Our four youngest had attended choir camp at UTA every summer during high school and felt instantly at home on the campus. The orientations were informative and fun, and Maventure Camp was a blast for them. UTA made it easy for students to get involved with activities on campus and feel like part of a community, and ours were VERY involved! I was glad our kids chose UTA, but more importantly, they were happy they chose UTA!"
Discounts
Students, faculty, staff, UTA Retirees, UTA Alumni Member card holders, and Parents and Family Association members can utilize Maverick Discount Program discounts by simply showing their Maverick ID to local business participants or by using a unique UT Arlington discount code to shop online. Business participants must provide a minimum 10% discount to participate in the program, so being a Maverick also means saving on a large variety of products and services.

Scholarships
The Maverick Parent & Family Association awards three $800 scholarships every fall and spring semester. Currently enrolled students at the University of Texas at Arlington are eligible to apply if they are in good standing with the university and have a family member with an active membership in the Maverick Parent & Family Association.
