Purpose

To assist survivors of crime in returning to optimal functioning and overcoming the impacts of the crime through advocacy, clinical case management, and counseling.  

To provide the most up-to-date research, support, and education to members of the North Texas criminal justice system.

About

We provide services to survivors of crime in Tarrant, Dallas, Denton and Collin Counties. Services are available to survivors ages 12 and up, in person and online. 

In addition to therapy, survivors can receive clinical case management services to assist with victim’s assistance program applications, court accompaniment, victim statements and referrals to other supportive services. We offer virtual classes to prepare crime victims for court.

Survivor Centered Psychotherapy

  • Comprehensive assessments and treatment available to ages 12 and up
  • Individual, family and group formats
  • In person and virtual sessions offered
  • Clinicians utilize a variety of trauma therapies including EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Motivational Interviewing

  • U-Visa application assistance
  • Education about the criminal justice process

Life Connection Staff

Life Connections is staffed by licensed mental health clinicians with expertise in trauma recovery and the criminal justice system with support from Master’s Level students completing their internships.
