Bursts of creativity on display at glass art sale

Students from UTA’s Art and Art History program will demonstrate how they form and shape hot molten glass into exquisite artwork during the annual Glass Art Sale and Show Saturday, April 1, at the Studio Arts Center, 810 S. Davis St. The show runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The sale includes more than 2,000 objects handcrafted by students, faculty, and visiting artists. Prices range from $5 to several thousand dollars, with most below $50. LEARN MORE.

Maverick Advantage is bold, ambitious plan for student success

The Maverick Advantage—UTA's Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP)—encourages students to engage in the Five Distinguishing Activities including internships, community service, and study abroad opportunities. Read about the plan's conception, expectations, and connection to UTA's Strategic Plan in the QEP report and at uta.edu/qep/.

The QEP is one item to be reviewed when eight external reviewers from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) visit UTA Tuesday-Thursday, April 4-6, for the University's reaccreditation.


Mav Money online portal offline Thursday

The MavExpress Mav Money online portal will be unavailable Thursday, March 30. To add money to your MavID card, go to the Office of Student Accounts or the cash reload stations on the second floor of the Central Library and at the University Center between Starbucks and the MavExpress office. Sign up for The Big Event projects by Friday

UTA's day of community service, The Big Event, still has openings for volunteers. See the project list at uta.edu/bigevent and register by Friday, March 31. The Big Event is 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, April 8.
