Dear UTA faculty, staff, and students,

I have the wonderful privilege of greeting you as your next president of The University of Texas at Arlington. What I see in UTA is a university of excellence with talented students and high-quality faculty and staff.

I want to express my sincere thanks to the presidential search committee for its service during the search process. I wish to thank Interim President Teik C. Lim, who has graciously committed to ensuring a smooth transition, and to those of you who already have reached out with messages of welcome.

I am so grateful for your work at the University. I am eager to begin meeting with each of you in the future. Together, let’s see how far we can go from here.

While I remain in full service as provost at the University of North Texas, I will actively be learning more about The University of Texas at Arlington. I am looking forward to joining the University on April 28.

Stay warm and safe through the coming winter storm, and I will look forward to meeting you on campus in the near future.
